Kora
Presented at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee Dance on Film Festival
The Tibetan word “Kora” means circumambulation, and is a holy practice of mindfully circling a sacred site or person. Accumulating merit, offering and receiving protection are common intentions when pilgrims cycle. Seeing life itself as sacred and holy, this work explores our interdependence with nature and the continuous life cycles recurring in all corners of the universe. Bringing calm, community, and awareness is emphasized by an excerpt of Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche's “Three Pill Meditation Technique”.
